Calculate Storage Space
Govt of India’s move to include warehousing & Logistics under the umbrella of Infrastructure has created a paradigm shift in warehouse planning. The impetus for warehouse space optimization and maximizing the storage capacity is growing like never before, as the country is moving towards improved warehousing and organized warehouse planning across sectors. This with challenges of land acquisition and high cost of land is contributing towards increased demand of vertical storage and maximizing “Cube” utilization.
Whatever be the size & scale of your warehouse operation, one thing is certain the cost of your warehouse is for entire cube, this means the maximum space utilization should be in the context of “Cube”
If you are planning for a new warehouse or redesigning the layout for your existing one, you are at the right place to find your solution.
With team of experts from Logistics & Warehousing putting in their years of experience towards designing a simple arithmetic calculator for identifying the storage capacity in a given warehouse space, we have developed this for giving customers across easy access and a valuable solution.
How to use the calculator
There are certain basic set of data that are required to use this calculation e.g. Warehouse dimensions (l x w x h), pallet size, no. of pallets on a beam, space between pallets in a rack determined Aisle space ( you can use our aisle calculator to derive Aisle) and what is the number of pallet deep (Pallets kept one behind other) in your racking system.
This data will enable you calculate indicative pallet storage capacity of your warehouse, however since it is only algorithmic and cannot account for any obstacles in warehouse like a vertical column or tunnel bay / cable trench etc.
